５周年イベントを終えて
こんにちは。Sticks Coffeeの南谷雄大です。
7月に開催したSticks Coffee 5周年イベント。
暑い中、足を運んでくださった皆さま、本当にありがとうございました。
そして、この日を迎えるために何ヶ月も前から準備を重ね、一緒にイベントをつくり上げてくれた仲間にも心から感謝しています。
今年は、韓国から33apartmentのGi Hoonさんをゲストとしてお迎えすることができました。
遠く離れた場所から、このイベントのために足を運んでくださり、一緒に5周年という節目を迎えられたことをとても嬉しく思っています。
国や言葉は違っても、「人が集まる場所をつくりたい」という想いを共有できたことは、私たちにとって大きな励みとなりました。改めて、本当にありがとうございました。
イベント当日は、たくさんのお客様とお会いし、「5周年おめでとう」という温かい言葉を数えきれないほどいただきました。
久しぶりにお会いできた方、いつもお店に来てくださる方、初めてSticks Coffeeを知ってくださった方。
それぞれの時間が重なり、一つの空間ができあがっていく様子を見ながら、「この場所を続けてきてよかった」と何度も感じる一日でした。
2021年、夜久野高原で始まったSticks Coffee。
振り返ると、この5年間は決して順風満帆ではありませんでした。
うまくいかないことも、悩んだことも、ふと立ち止まったこともありました。
それでも前を向いて歩き続けられたのは、応援してくださるお客様がいて、一緒に挑戦してくれる仲間がいたからです。
お店は私たちだけでつくるものではなく、訪れてくださるお客様や関わってくださるすべての方と一緒に育っていくものなのだと、この5年間で何度も教えていただきました。
だからこそ、この5周年は「ゴール」ではなく、私たちにとっては新しいスタートラインです。
これまで積み重ねてきた経験を大切にしながらも、変化を恐れず、新しい挑戦を続けていきたいと思っています。
その挑戦は、決して大きなことばかりではありません。
新しい一杯を届けることかもしれない。
新しい出会いを生み出すことかもしれない。
もっと居心地の良い場所をつくることかもしれない。
どんな挑戦であっても、その先に「この場所に来てよかった」と思っていただける瞬間が増えていくことが、私たちにとって何より大切で、何より幸せなことです。
形が変わっても、私たちが大切にしたいことは変わりません。
コーヒーを通して、人と人がつながること。
「こんにちは。」と迎え、「いってらっしゃい。」と送り出せる場所であること。
そして、一杯のコーヒーが、その人の一日を少しだけ良くすること。
6年目も、変わらず挑戦を続けます。

Hello, I’m Yuta Minamitani from Sticks Coffee.
First of all, thank you to everyone who joined us for our 5th Anniversary Event this July despite the summer heat.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our team, who spent months preparing and worked tirelessly to make this event possible.
This year, we were also honored to welcome Gi Hoon, the owner of 33apartment in Korea, as our special guest.
Although we come from different countries and cultures, we share the same belief—that creating a place where people naturally gather is something truly meaningful.
Being able to celebrate this milestone together made our fifth anniversary even more special. Thank you, Gi Hoon, for traveling all the way to be with us.
Throughout the event, we had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and received countless words of congratulations.
We welcomed familiar faces, loyal guests who visit us regularly, and many people who discovered Sticks Coffee for the very first time.
Watching all of those moments come together into one shared space, I found myself thinking over and over again,
“I’m so glad we’ve continued this journey.”
Sticks Coffee began in Yakuno Highlands in 2021.
Looking back, these past five years have certainly not been an easy road.
There were moments of uncertainty, challenges that tested us, and times when we had to stop and reflect.
Even so, we were able to keep moving forward because we were surrounded by people who believed in us—our customers who continued to support us and our teammates who embraced every challenge together.
Over these five years, we’ve learned something important.
A coffee shop is never built by its owners alone.
It grows together with every customer who walks through the door and every person who becomes part of its story.
That is why we don’t see our fifth anniversary as the finish line.
For us, it marks the beginning of a new chapter.
While cherishing everything we have built so far, we will continue embracing change and taking on new challenges.
Not every challenge has to be something extraordinary.
It might be serving a new cup of coffee.
It might be creating new connections between people.
Or it might simply be making our space a little warmer and more welcoming than it was yesterday.
Whatever form those challenges take, our greatest joy is creating more moments where someone leaves thinking,
“I’m glad I came here today.”
No matter how we grow or change, what we value will always remain the same.
Connecting people through coffee.
Welcoming everyone with a warm “Hello.”
And sending them on their way with a heartfelt “Take care.”
Believing that one cup of coffee can make someone’s day just a little bit better.
As we begin our sixth year, we’ll continue moving forward with the same spirit of challenge and gratitude.
